Los Angeles -
Breast Augmentation / Enlargement
Los Angeles area plastic surgeon,
Dr. David Kim, provides you many options for breast augmentation. Breast
enlargement can be performed in many ways. The method that is best for you
will depend on your appearance and your preferences. The newest method is
called the umbilical technique. This is where a small incision is place
under the skin at the top of your belly button. When fully healed the
incision will be nearly invisible. The
other methods include the areolar incision, where the cut is placed at the
bottom of the areola., the trans-axillary ( armpit ) incision, and the
inframammary fold incision. For photos of patients using these techniques
please click the photo button above.
Located in the
Los Angeles area, specifically Beverly Hills, for the past six years Dr.
David Kim has performed hundreds of breast augmentation procedures using all
techniques. In addition to the decision of the location of the incision you
need to also decide on the type of implant, the placement above or below the
muscle, and most importantly your surgeon. Dr. Kim is board certified by the
American Board of Plastic Surgery. This is the only plastic surgery board
recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
At your
consultation Dr. Kim will discuss the various options you have regarding
your procedure, and will go over the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Breast augmentation in the right hands is a relatively straight forward
procedure. However, you should be well informed of the complications that
can occur, and also be informed of the steps that should be taken to allow
your breasts to heal properly.

Breast Enlargement -
Also known as breast augmentation or augmentation mammoplasty, breast enlargement can help women who are unhappy with the size or shape of their breasts. For many women, breast size is an important part of feeling good, desirable and normal. Having a breast augmentation can greatly improve self esteem in these cases.

 |
Liposuction -
Also known as suction lipectomy or lipoplasty, liposuction can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. These areas include the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck.
|
 |
Breast Lift -
As women age their breasts gradually change shape. These changes can be due to gravity, breast feeding and/or the transformation of glandular tissue to more fatty tissue that occurs with aging. A breast lift procedure will raise the nipple and breast tissue to give a fuller more youthful look.
|
 |
Breast Reduction -
Also known as reduction mammoplasty, a breast reduction can greatly relieve the lower back as well as shoulder pain associated with large breasts. An added benefit is improved appearance of the breast to a more youthful look.
|
 |
Browlift -
Wrinkles and frown lines often first appear in the brow and forehead area. A forehead lift, browlift, restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired. |
 |
Breast Reconstruction -
Reconstruction of a breast that has been removed due to cancer or other disease is one of the most rewarding surgical procedures available today. New medical techniques and devices have made it possible for surgeons to create a breast that can come close in form and appearance to matching a natural breast.

 |
Facial Implants -
Plastic surgeons use facial implants to improve and enhance facial contours. Frequently, these implants will help provide a more harmonious balance to your face and features so that you feel better about the way you look.

 |
Rhinoplasty -
The size and shape of your nose is considered by many to be the most defining part of your face. A nose job, or rhinoplasty, can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve breathing problems. |
 |
Tummy Tuck -
A protuberant abdomen can be due to excess fat, weak abdominal muscles, or excess skin from large weight loss. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, removes excess fat and skin while tightening the underlying muscles. The surgery is particularly helpful to women who have had multiple pregnancies and have stretched out their abdominal muscles. |
 |
Eyelid Surgery -
Drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes can often give you an older more tired appearance. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a procedure that removes excess fat and usually skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It can also be done to add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes |
 |
Facelift -
After years of exposure to the effects of gravity, the elements, and the stresses of daily life, signs of aging in the form of wrinkles, sagging skin, and laxity in the jowls can be seen in the face and neck. A facelift, or rhytidectomy, can make you look younger and fresher and may enhance your self-confidence in the process. |
 |
Gynecomastia -
Gynecomastia is a medical term that comes from the Greek words for "women-like breasts." Though this oddly named condition is rarely talked about, it's actually quite common. Gynecomastia affects an estimated 40 to 60 percent of men.

Collagen Injection -
As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement, such as smiling, chewing and squinting. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crow's feet or facial creases over the areas where this muscle movement occurs. Soft-tissue fillers, most commonly injectable collagen or fat, can help fill in these lines and creases, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance |
 |
Laser Surgery -
In laser resurfacing, sometimes called "laser peel," a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer.
